Penhold Elementary teacher, Clancy Pennock, honoured as a nominee for teaching excellence award

Congratulations to Chinook’s Edge Edwin Parr Award nominee, Clancy Pennock.  Pennock was honoured with all of the nominees for the Alberta School Boards Association Zone 4 at a banquet in late May.

Pennock is a first year teacher at Penhold Elementary School. Her principal, Lisa Baird, says the event was “incredible and filled with inspiration, stories of impact, and the promise of our future teachers. Congratulations to all the nominees, and especially to Clancy! Your dedication and passion are truly shaping the future of education.”

Each of the eight school divisions in the zone can nominate a teacher for the award each year. The Edwin Parr Award celebrates exceptional first year teachers.
