Key Roles

Bonnie is proud to have been part of the Chinook’s Edge team for the past 23 years, in which time her role has changed from school admin support to division office staff. This year marks her sixth year in her role in People Services, where she is responsible for all paperwork and staff information (job postings, new-hire onboarding, FTE Changes, grid placements, leave letters, contracts, orientations, etc.) for all Certified Teachers.  She is also a contact for substitute teachers, and provides administrative support to the Associate Superintendent of People Services.  Bonnie loves many different aspects of her role in People Services, but her favourite part is welcoming and supporting brand new teachers to our division.  

Sylvan Lake is home to Bonnie and her husband, Darren.  They also have 4 adult children, 5 beautiful grandchildren.  She is passionate about inspiring others to live a healthy active lifestyle and lives by example, enjoying paddle boarding, running, yoga, biking and her love of being a certified HIGH Fitness instructor for the past 3 years.
