COVID-19 Information

COVID-19 Alberta Health Daily Checklist (updated January 8, 2022)

  • Daily Checklist - now more than ever, if your child is showing symptoms or not well, you must keep them home. The updated Daily Screening Checklist from AHS should be reviewed every morning before sending your child/children to school.

  • If your child has any of the core symptoms, you are legally required to isolate. If they test negative on a rapid COVID-19 test, they must still stay home and away from others until symptoms resolve.

Rapid Tests and Masks: To lower the risk of in school transmission of the Omicron variant and provide an additional layer of protection, the Government of Alberta is supplying rapid tests and masks to schools - these are expected to be distributed by January 21. how-to video for parents and a rapid test program fact sheet translated into multiple languages offers tips on how to use the rapid test kits. These, along with other helpful information, is available online at https://www.alberta.ca/k-12-learning-during-covid-19.aspx.
